This goes a long way in ensuring an equitable sharing of resources, serving the long term interests of man as well as helping out in the survival of local plant and animal species.
The implementation of Ecotourism in the Park, and the resulting economic and environmental benefits to the community and Mauritania as a whole, will give the vulnerable inhabitants of the Park a voice and a tangible argument against continued exploitation of their most valuable resource, the Senegal River.
Ecotourism and medical tourism are the fast developing tourism segments of Kerala. Kerala is truly a nature lover’s paradise with lush tropical evergreen rain forests supporting a rich array of land, marine and avian wildlife. State have many tourist destinations known for their ecotourism and exquisite landscapes which are not only relaxing but also refreshing. Kerala tourism ministry doing everything to develop ecotourism throughout Kerala, without causing harm to the natural resources and saving the non-renewable resources for the posterity. Ecological balance of Kerala is delicately being preserved and promoted by the Government.
There are several characteristics of ecotourism including travel to natural destinations, building environmental awareness, providing financial benefits and empowerment for local people, supporting human rights and demographic movements etc. It also satisfies various criteria like, conservation of biological diversity and cultural diversity through ecosystem protection, sharing of socio-economic benefits with local communities by having their informed consent and participation in the management of ecotourism enterprises etc. For many countries like, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Nepal, Kenya, Madagascar, Antarctica etc it is a major industry of the national economy.
Gunung (literally means Mountain) Rinjani is located on Lombok Island with total height of 3,726m (12,224 ft). It’s a stunning landscape, hot springs and also an active volcano (most recent eruption was October 1st, 2008). Volcano eruption made its soil very fertile and good place to grown for almost any kind of crops: rice, soybeans, coffee, cinnamon, vanilla, cotton, Tobacco, etc. Many local residents are employed as guides, while small business and craftspeople get micro-loans and training for further development.
