Why does the America government continue to allow the sale and Use Of Tobacco products and alcohol?

The American government is well aware of the Dangers Of Tobacco and alcohol use. The America government earn billions of dollars per yer from federal cigarette taxes. I believe the American government is endangering the American citizens health by continuing to legalizing the sale and use of tobacco and alcohol related products. The American government needs to ban the sale and use of tobacco and alcohol. The American government is trying to find a solution to the epidemic of obesity in our country. Yet, our American government appears to do nothing to stop the sale of dangerous drugs such as alcohol and cigarettes.
